First Impressions
My overall first impressions of my 2023 internship so far are great. Some of the things that I immediately noticed about the workspace was how much it resembled an actual office. Yes I know that I'm here to do office work, but still for some odd reason I was struck by the new environment my High Tech High mind was used to. So far the colleagues that I met are people I already know! But seeing them now in a professional sense does motivates me to show off my skills and impress them with my work. What strikes me the most about the job I'm doing is how creative I need to be. I really didn't know the amount of brain power it takes to think of places that teenagers and myself could find having fun at when being chaperoned. My first thoughts of places to go I dismissed because of the large group of people that I'd be dealing with, pulling an all-nighter at my friends house doesn't really work with 20+ people. What I am looking forward to for my internship is finalizing and fully fleshing out my ideas of events that I see as fun. Although planning taking a group of 20 teenagers to Knotts Berry Farm seems stressful, I'm exited to explore new unknown variables that I have to take into consideration. My job doesn't leave me with any wonderings or concerns about what I'm going to be doing for the following month, but I'm looking forward to giving my all!
